Pay: £13.371 per hour
Contract: One-year fixed term contract with potential to extend if funding becomes available

For over a decade Bonny Downs Community Association have been providing a much-needed free advocacy service to help Newham residents over 65 years old to deal with challenges surrounding housing, transport, healthcare, finances and administrative tasks after bereavement, however the recent cost of living crisis and spike in energy costs have caused a major increase in local levels of poverty and the demand for advocacy has greatly increased.
Thankfully short-term funding has been secured in order to recruit a highly organised and caring Advocacy Assistant to work directly with clients to conduct needs assessments, assist them with online form filling and complete necessary monitoring exercises to track the project’s impact. This new role offers a fantastic opportunity to help vulnerable older people feel valued, connected and supported within their community, despite the hardships they face.
This role will be on an initial one-year fixed term contract for 10 hours per week and will be paid at £13.371 per hour. Please see our website for the full job description and person specification.
