Last December, thanks to the generosity of our community, we raised over £2,500 to help our older neighbours through the winter.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid situation, we had to put our plans for a Christmas event on hold. But the good news is that it left us with some money to plan something special this Spring instead…

ExCeL renews support for BDCA food bank

ExCeL London, the home of world-leading events and exhibitions in Newham, has recently renewed its support for Bonny Downs’ food bank in 2022 through a generous £5,000 donation!

New funding boosts BDCA’s service for older people

The future of our Active and Connected 65+ project – which supports older people in Newham through free exercise, social activities and creative sessions – has been assured for a further two years thanks to new funding!

UKPN brings Christmas cheer to our food bank!

This month, the employees and partners of UK Power Networks, one of our Friends of The Foodbank, showed a great generosity of Christmas spirit by organising a brilliant prize raffle and fundraising an amazing £575 for our food bank!
