Do you feel passionate about contributing to your local community?

We receive lots of donations each week from the generous public, as well as our partnership with Irons for Foodbanks, Community Food Enterprise, Felix Project and Newham Food Alliance. We need to ensure we are rotating all our stock each week so that these precious donations are not wasted! This involves stamping dates on the food and moving stock from the back to the front of our pantry/fridges/freezers and replenishing our shelves with newly delivered items.

BDCA Christmas Cards!

We are delighted to say that members of our community have designed a pack of Christmas Cards to support our charitable work!

The cards are available for purchase now in packs of 10 for £5. Each pack contains one of each of the designs. You can purchase them from our Reception at The Well Community Centre on weekdays between 9 am and 4 pm.

In memory of the late Rodney Mann

It is with much sadness that we bid farewell to Rodney, a much-loved member of the Bonny Downs Family and pillar of our community. For an incredible 26 years Rodney dedicated himself to loving and serving our community. He was instrumental in BDCA’s growth and development and he faithfully served as a volunteer within Bonny Downs Community Association for many years both as a Trustee and helping with our accounting and banking.

BDCA Service Users Survey 2024

We are asking all of our service users to please share your experience of BDCA through a short survey here.

This is important to help BDCA improve our services for our community and prove to our funders that our work is making a difference.

You will have the option to enter a prize draw to win a £100 shopping voucher if you submit the survey by 15 September 2024.

Foodbank Temporary Closure until 28 August

From this week, Bonny Downs Foodbank is temporarily closed for two weeks due to emergency staff shortage. It will re-open as normal on Wednesday 28^th August at 11:30 am.

Opening Ceremony for the WELLcome Hub

On Thursday 4^th July, BDCA held an opening ceremony for our new building, the WELLcome Hub, located at 35 Vicarage Lane, E6 6DQ.

The celebration was attended by service users, volunteers, partners and staff. Sarah Laing, CEO of BDCA gave a speech and the ribbon was cut by Deepa Selvaraj, Facilities Manager. Guests were treated to delicious home-made lunch and a celebratory cake.
