JOB TITLE: Income Generation Consultant
CONTRACT: Initial 6 month
HOURS: 2.5 Days per Week
PAY RATE: Day rate of £300 –£400 depending on experience
LOCATION: Hybrid: Remote and at our venues in E6 6DQ
Bonny Downs Community Association have a 26-year legacy of serving our local community and we are now seeking an experienced and driven Income Generation Consultant to help secure the financial future of our vital services.
BDCA is more than just a charity, we are a lifeline. Whether we are providing a nurturing start in our Parent & Toddler groups, empowering young people through our Youth Activities, improving health through our sports programs, reducing isolation through our Elders activities or restoring dignity through our Food Club and Debt Advocacy, our focus is always on holistic support.
From providing elders with joy and connection at our social activities to offering a helping hand in times of crisis, we celebrate life at every age and every stage.
We are looking for a high-level professional with significant experience in the charity or social impact sectors with a proven track record in income generation.to help us secure the funding necessary to ensure that BDCA remains a cornerstone of the community for the next 26 years and beyond.
You will collaborate closely with our internal project team, focusing on strengthening our existing income streams while proactively securing high-yielding corporate partnerships, major donor relationships and significant multi-year grants from corporate foundations. These contributions will form part of the essential financial backbone that allows our frontline services to thrive.

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Case: Producing high-quality, persuasive cases for support and bespoke pitch materials tailored to different audiences
- Corporate Pipeline Development: Identify and pitch to high-level corporate partners, specifically targeting firms in the City, Canary Wharf, Royal Docks and Stratford East Bank, seeking to invest in CSR, ESG, social impact or community initiatives.
- Sponsorship Management: Build and manage a portfolio of corporate opportunities, utilising our sponsorship brochure. to secure partnerships, sponsorships, and payroll giving schemes.
- Donor Stewardship: Identify and nurture relationships with high-net-worth individuals, creating bespoke journeys that encourage annual giving and long-term philanthropic commitment.
- Sustainable Growth: Strengthen BDCA’s long-term financial sustainability by securing significant multi-year funding commitments, prioritising strategic partnerships over high-volume small-scale donations.
- Systems & Reporting: Embed CRM usage to support effective reporting and donor engagement
Experience Required:
- Significant experience in income generation within the charity or social impact sector.
- A proven track record securing 6 figure grants, major donor gifts and high-value corporate partnerships.
- A self-directed professional, comfortable operating with high levels of autonomy and bringing your own strategic initiative to the role.
- A deep understanding of the Newham socio-economic landscape or the broader London- corporate giving sector with the ability to navigate local and city-wide opportunities.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems to manage donor pipelines, track engagement, and drive consistent fundraising performance.
- Extensive experience in high-profile networking with the gravitas to engage and influence those within large corporations
- Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills, with a proven ability to craft persuasive narratives that align donor interests with social impact goals.
Targets
To secure £100k in immediate/short-term funds while building a pipeline for £200k+ in multi-year revenue.
