“My life is better because of Bonny Downs.”

When John first came out of jail, he used Bonny Down’s foodbank. The wraparound advice and support that came with it helped him turn his life around and gain work as a handyman. John wanted a way to give back to the community, so has been volunteering for our Foodbank and Food Club.

“If it wasn’t for Bonny Downs, I’d probably carry on hanging with the wrong crowd and doing silly things,” said John. “Volunteering here has helped me meet genuine people, they make me feel good, they never look down on me. I get to help the neediest people, those in hardship and help them leave here with a happy face.”
