Celebrate the Jubilee with us!
At Bonny Downs we love a good reason to celebrate with our neighbours. Already this spring we’ve had a lot of fun together at our Easter interfaith and Eid Family Hub celebrations, and next on the agenda is the Platinum Jubilee – we hope you’ll be able to join us…
Because this Jubilee is the kind of milestone we’re unlikely to see again in our lifetimes, we’re holding not one but TWO events for the community.
There’s no dress code and you should wear whatever’s comfortable, but we do hope to see lots of red, white and blue!FREE Inter-generational Jubilee Celebration
Tuesday 31 May
10am to 3pm at The Well
For over 65s and families with children
The Jubilee is a great opportunity to bring our different generations together, so we’ll welcome both our over 65s neighbours and families with children for some morning arts & crafts and a cuppa. Then everyone’s invited to have some lovely food together, which will take the form of a traditional afternoon tea.
In the afternoon, we encourage our older neighbours to stay on for some entertainment – including a great singer!
Advance registration is required for this event, before 12 noon on Monday 30 May.
Families should reserve their places by emailing us here and letting us know the number of adults and children attending. Alternatively you can call us on 07542 125 476.
Our over 65s neighbours should book their places by calling Michelle on 07861 907 941. Or if you prefer you can email her here.
You can find the location map for The Well here. If you have a question about the event before attending, feel free to use these contact details too.
FREE Jubilee Garden Party
Friday 3 June
10am to 2pm in our Community Garden
For everyone in our community!
We’ve heard that the Queen loves a good garden party. So what could be more appropriate than celebrating in style on the bank holiday weekend in our lovely community garden?
We’ll have fun together with some family-friendly outdoor activities in the morning, before coming together for a lunchtime Jubilee picnic.
We’ll provide everyone with free tea, squash and biscuits, and we invite you to bring your own picnic food. If you’re able to bring some food to share with your neighbours, that would be especially lovely so we can all enjoy trying some different dishes (but if you can’t that’s perfectly OK too!)
You do not need to register for this event – please just turn up on the day. You can find the location map for the garden here. If you have a question before attending, feel free to email us.
